His ChildrenFoundation SA

Every child deserves to feel safe.

Around 10,000 babies are abandoned in South Africa every year. Seven in ten are left in unsafe places. Only one in three is found alive.

We care for the ones who are found — more than 200 babies and toddlers across our homes — working alongside Places of Safety, the Department of Social Development and registered child welfare organisations.

Every donation receives a Section 18A tax certificate automatically.

Where your giving goes

A safe and secure family environment

Every baby, toddler and child in our care is placed within a home, not an institution.

Daily essentials, without a gap

Nappies, formula, wipes, food, clothing and blankets — the list that starts again every month.

Medical and developmental care

Doctors, therapists and trained nannies, so that emotional, physical, educational and medical needs are all met.

Giving that comes with the paperwork

We are registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 930066803), so donations qualify for a tax deduction under Section 18A. We are also a Level One B-BBEE Contributor, and 85% of our beneficiaries are black as defined by the codes of good practice.

Your certificate is issued automatically when your donation is confirmed — you no longer have to email anyone to ask for it.

Nappies, milk and wipes do not wait for the end of the month.

A once-off gift or a monthly commitment both make the list shorter.
